Artist - Cyndie Belhumeur

Cyndie Belhumeur is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montréal whose work investigates the circulation and materialization of information flows in contemporary environments. Working in painting, embroidery, textile, sculpture, and installation, her compositions balance rigor and freedom, sometimes filling the viewer's field of vision, other times embracing deliberate disorder.

For Nester Downtown Montréal, she created floor-by-floor artworks inspired by the neighborhood's energy and organic textures. Using water as a metaphor for movement and community, she produced 18 interconnected pieces that blend vibrant colors, layered motifs, and local references—from plants and textiles to museums and city life. An exterior mural unifies the series through circular forms, showcasing how local artistic collaborations can meaningfully anchor a property within its cultural surroundings.
